LASH SERVICES
Yes and no. Yes, your lashes can be damaged if you go to someone who was not properly trained and uses cheap products not intended for long wear. No, extensions properly applied by a certified, trained technician who uses quality products should not. Our eyelash extension application techniques and innovative aftercare ensures your lash health.
Due to the natural growth cycle of your lashes you will find your natural eyelashes shed every 60-90 days as new ones grows in. It is generally estimated losing 1-5 eyelashes per day is considered normal. We recommend getting a fill every two to three weeks to fill in lashes on the new growth.
When properly applied and cared for, your eyelash extensions should last the length of the natural growth cycle of your own eyelashes. Depending on your activity and day-to-day routine, refills should only be required every 2 or 3 weeks.
Yes. Mrs. Lash & Beauty Bar LLC only uses professional grade adhesive which never comes in contact with your skin. Eyelashes extensions adhere about 1 mm away from your skin.
The suggested time frame is 24 hours. For clients with sensitivities, it is suggested to wash within the first 12 hours of application. We also carry lash cleansers made specifically for the lash extensions and adhesives used.
After cleansing your eyelashes, brush your extensions with a clean mascara wand and use a lint-free cloth to gently apply pressure to the top of your extensions while keeping your eyes closed. Let it air dry.
Currently, the FDA is not regulating eyelash extensions because the eyelash extensions are applied to the natural eyelash hairs and do not touch the skin. The application process is pain-free. Some clients consider the process relaxing and even sleep through the appointment.
We do ask you to minimize the chance of wetting the extensions for the first 24 hours of wear. After that 24-hour period, the adhesive used to apply your eyelash extensions is secure enough to allow you to get right back to your routine. However, keeping away from extensive contact with steam such as in saunas or certain facials is recommended since it can begin to loosen the bond.

The application process for lash extensions normally takes about 90-180 minutes for a full set of lashes and 60-90 minutes for a refill. You will lay comfortably on a massage table with your eyes closed while relaxing ambient music is played in the background. During application, your lower lashes will be covered and the extensions will be applied only to your upper lashes one at a time.
Your lash artist will consult with you to understand what type of style you are interested in and what look will work best with your natural lashes. The overall look of the lashes can range from very natural to very voluminous!
Use our Foaming Lash Wash or an oil-free makeup remover to cleanse your lashes prior to the appointment as well to remove any leftover mascara. Lashes should not be permed or manually curled at the time of appointment. For more detailed information refer to our care information page .
We do offer a service to have the extensions removed involving a short thirty-minute appointment in which we apply a gel remover. The gel remover is applied on top of the extensions without touching the skin and allowed to sit for 10 minutes. Once the adhesive is dissolved the extensions are gently wiped away with lint free applicators exposing the natural lashes.
Lash growth products that contain steroids change the composition of your lashes and accelerate your eyelash shedding cycle, therefore we cannot guarantee the outcome. Natural lash growth products containing peptides are wonderful and will have no adverse effect on the longevity of your extensions
LASH LIFT
This treatment lasts anywhere from 5-8 weeks, or a whole cycle of the natural eyelash. Eyelashes grow and naturally fall out in a lash cycle every 2-3 months. Normally around week 3-4 you may notice new straight lashes growing in among the previously lifted lashes. Then your mascara will tuck the straight lashes up with the already lifted ones but you may want to consider booking another treatment In the coming weeks. Most of our clients come for treatment every 6 to 10 weeks.
With Elleebana Lash Lift , no artificial lashes are added to the natural lashes. Instead, the existing lashes are lifted to create longer lashes. With eyelash extensions, synthetic or mink lashes are applied to your natural lash using adhesives.
Yes of course. We’ve had customers that applied eyelash extension within a week after getting the Lash Lift.

WAXING
Waxing removes hair from the root underneath the skin, not just from the surface, so the hair follicle needs to go through another cycle of regrowth which takes up to 6 weeks, unlike shaving where hair can grow back in days.
We wish we could stimulate hair growth! Only hormonal changes – either natural or artificial – can alter our hair. When we experience puberty and our hair changes, we begin to shave and we liken the hair change as the result of the shaving. Shaving blunt cuts our hair and thus leaves a stubble. Waxing pulls the hair out by the root so when it regrows, it is very fine at the tip. With waxing, new hair growth is soft.
Yes. Home care is a must to ensure the best results. Start your home care the day after receiving your waxing treatment, even if irritation is present. Before that (i.e directly after your treatment and then for at least 12 hours) refrain from using the sauna, deodorant and from tanning. We encourage you to discontinue tweezing, shaving or using any other method of hair removal during your wax life.
If you have:
- Sunburned or irritated skin
- Cuts or recent scar tissue
- Moles
- Protruding veins
- Diabetes phlebitis or any other skin disorders
- Herpes or cold sores
- Chemical peel within the last 7 days
If the following medications are taken, waxing is NOT recommended because the side effects of these drugs can be extreme sensitivity and irritation:
- Retin A (last 36 hours)
- Accutane (last 6 months)
- Tetracycline
- Glycolic Acids
Yes, note that a 1/4″ growth is ideal for most hard waxes to grab and remove the hair efficiently and comfortably.
No hot baths for the reminder of the day as hot water can sip into open hair follicle and cause irritation.
We suggest wearing loose clothing. The skin is usually sensitive post waxing service and you won’t want to wear anything that rubs. You will not leave in discomfort per se, but expect the waxed area to be sensitive.
There is never any double-dipping of our waxing implements, and therefore, no risk of cross-contamination.
Every time hair is pulled out with wax, a new papilla (the bulb on the bottom of the hair follicle) needs to form so hair takes longer to re-grow, additionally, consistently removing hair from the root causes papilla regeneration to weaken so hair will grow back softer and finer. Applying warm wax to the skin causes the pores to expand so hair is released painlessly with ease. Here are the top 5 reasons why you should switch to waxing:
- Be free of hair for weeks at a time. No 5 o’clock shadow as hair is removed from the roots and can take up to 3-6 weeks to grow back.
- No More Razor Bumps or Burns and unsightly bumps. With shaving, hair regrows thicker forcing you to shave every other day, this can be harsh on skin and lead to breaking hair follicles causing burns and bumps while with waxing, the new hair is removed from the root and it takes longer time to grow back.
- One wax session can save time from your morning routine by eliminating the need to shave or tweeze. Waxing once every 3-8 weeks give you the opportunity to do the things you love.
- Waxing has a dual benefit: Removing unwanted hair and exfoliating skin by getting rid of dead skin cells and opening up the pores. This will give a silky smooth fee and will last for weeks.
- Smoother Skin since Hair grows back finer and softer with no stubble leaving a smoother, silkier feel.
If waxing is performed using poor technique hairs can break off and cause irritation or ingrown hairs.
- Women – face, arms and hands, chest and back, torso, bikini, legs and feet.
- Never wax – inside ears, genital area, over nipples, moles or warts, over irritated, cut or broken skin and over recent scar tissue.
There are a few reasons for this problem:
- The hair was not long enough. Hair needs to be at least a quarter of an inch for proper hair removal.
- The wax pulled too slowly or in the wrong direction. Apply the wax in the direction of the hair growth; rub firmly in same direction 3-4 times. Pull the surrounding skin taut and pull the strip against the skin in the opposite direction.
- Skin was not properly prepped. It is essential to prepare the skin for waxing. First use a cleanser to remove any oil, make-up or perspiration from the skin’s surface.
Yes, possibly. The upper lip, back and chest are all areas that are prone to breakouts. If you have a tendency towards ingrown hairs and irritation from shaving, you are more likely to have the same reactions waxing, although dramatically decreased. To minimize skin reactions, you MUST use proper home care and come to get waxed on a regular schedule.
No exposure to sun or tanning for up to 48 hours as skin tends to be more sensitive.
It’s like working out at the gym. You don’t automatically lose 10lbs on your first visit, right? It’s the same thing with waxing. You will not get the best wax until your 3rd wax. This is due to the 3 stages of hair growth. So, 3 growth stages + 3 waxes = the best wax. By “best wax” we mean: No hair left behind, ultimate smoothness, slow hair regrowth and little skin irritation.
Come in for a wax every 4 to 6 weeks. We do experience different growth rates but on average, the 4-week mark is the best time. This timing is based on the 3 stages of hair growth.
